Paint me like Monet
There’s something magical about the Orangerie room featuring Water Lillies by Monet. Multiple strokes of color creating all together a bigger picture, a bigger fantasy. The shape of the painting is fluidly matching the oval shape of the room and creates a dome like effect that’s beyond positively daunting.
Creating an impression, a picture perfect story out of many millions of brush strokes is pure genius. And I guess fashion does the same in a way. Needle after needle, season after season, there’s a bigger story being told out of many smaller fragments and that story is what you get. An impression of a brand, of a person, of a painting. Learning to appreciate every single stroke is where the real challenge lies and what makes someone special. So next time, look closer
